Welcome to Lechlade Medical Centre

At Lechlade surgery the doctors and nurses take pride in offering the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.  We run many clinics for chronic disease care and offer a wide variety of other medical services such as antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

The Practice has been fully computerised since the end of 1999 and has welcomed recent rapid advances in NHS information technology. We hope these developments will increase our efficiency, which in turn means we can help you more effectively.

The extension to the Surgery building was completed in 1997 and has provided space and equipment to continue developing services at least during the next decade. We aim to provide the most up-to-date services needed in a rural community and ideas on improving these are always welcome.

The Practice premises have suitable access for all disabled patients. As a rural Practice, travelling to hospital is sometimes difficult, particularly in an emergency; we have equipment and facilities to help you. We are supported in these endeavours by the Fairford Hospital League of Friends which operates a voluntary car service for those with no transport or sufficient funds to pay for a private taxi. This service is arranged by discussion with your doctor.

UTMG MISSION STATEMENT

The Upper Thames Medical Group aims to provide a service, which puts patients’ welfare at the heart of all we do. We seek to provide high quality healthcare in a responsive, courteous, caring and cost effective manner.
